John Tyson Elementary is in need of translators for our upcoming student-led conferences. These will take place next week (September 16th-19th). Please see below for more information.
We will be holding a meeting to share our Annual Report to the Public and our Title I Parent & Family Engagement Plan on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. The Annual Title I Parent & Family Engagement meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. and the Annual Report to the Public will occur at 6:15 p.m. Our PTA meeting will begin at 5:30 PM.

Tyson Tigers love our grandparents! All grandparents (or other special people) are invited to eat lunch with us. You can see the dates/times for each grade level’s Grandparents’ Luncheon in the handout that was sent home today. The price of lunch is $4.25. Please bring exact change. Adults are also welcome to bring their own lunch. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by September 4th using the paper coming home today.

Dear Parents,
Thank you so much for helping us implement our new car rider system. It's getting better each day. We would like to try to dismiss both car rider lines at the same time, instead of one at a time to see if this speeds up the process. That would mean that cars would need to take turns merging around the corner just like everyone already does in the morning during drop off. Also, please make sure to pull forward while in the car lines and not leave big spaces between cars. This will allow us to enter more car numbers into the system and prevent students from having to walk further to get to their car. We will try this today and tomorrow and then reevaluate our plan.
