John Tyson Elementary will be hosting a drop-in Kindergarten Readiness Screening on May 24th between 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Please see the flyers below for additional information. We are looking forward to meeting our new Tigers on Monday.
Due to the weather forecast, we have moved our kindergarten and 5th grade celebration indoors. Masks are required at all times. We are looking forward to celebrating our students!

5th grade begins ACT Aspire testing next week. 3rd and 4th grade will test during the week of April 26th-30th. Please make sure your students get plenty of rest and attend school each day. We are so proud of how hard our Tigers have worked to prepare for this test!

Important Class Picture Update for Monday, March 15th!
Students will be able to temporarily remove their masks for the class picture. They will put them back on after the class picture has been taken.
Our JTE STEAM Night has been rescheduled for March 16th! Please see below for more details.
We will celebrate Read Across America next week with Seuss-themed dress up days and a book character parade! The book character parade will take place on Tuesday afternoon at 1:15. Parents will not be able to attend due to Covid restrictions, but we will post pictures to our social media accounts.
Spring Picture Day is tomorrow (February 24th). The only students who will be photographed are those who pre-order pictures. You can order pictures online at mylifetouch.com. To order online, the picture day ID is EVTMRHS4G. You can also order by returning the envelope sent home with your selection and payment.
Because of the inclement weather last week, this week’s lunch menu has changed. This week, the lunch menu will follow the same schedule as week 3. Next week, the menu will be back to the regular scheduled meals.
