Dear Parents, These are just a few of the safety measures we have taken at Tyson. We are so looking forward to seeing our Tyson Tigers on August 24th.

Please complete this survey by August 5th to let us know which learning model you will be choosing this year. You may choose blended where your child will attend Tyson on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday. If you've ordered a yearbook, you may come by Monday-Friday between 8:00-11:00 AM or 1:00-4:00 PM to pick up your yearbook. If you did not place an order, we still have some left to purchase for $15.

These three options are provided so that families have the most flexibility. Whatever your family decides, we support you 100%. Our hope is that you choose onsite learning 5 days a week. However, we recognize the need for flexibility and want families to have a choice. Tyson Elementary would like to thank Dr. Rollins for his outstanding leadership. His high expectations for the Springdale School District has paved the way for innovative, personalized, and inclusive practices that have gained recognition not only in the Springdale community and in the state of Arkansas, but also across the nation. After 38 years of developing partnerships and fostering a strong commitment to students from across the street and across the ocean, Dr. Rollins will now be leading the staff at Northwest Technical Institute. We have no doubt he will continue to do amazing work for the community. We want to offer our sincere thanks for his servant leadership, and we will carry on his legacy by continuing to teach them all! All means all!

Congratulations to John Tyson Elementary School for receiving a Joint Use Agreement Grant for $30,000, provided by the Arkansas Department of Education School Health Services. The funds will be used to purchase a play structure for the playground area of the school. Tyson Elementary School will install an interactive playground facility designed to promote strength, agility, flexibility, balance and imaginative pay. We appreciate The Tyson Family Foundation and the Springdale Public Schools Education Foundation for partnering with us through our Play Matters Campaign, in order to provide additional funds. The structure will allow students, families, and community members to benefit from a resource that encourages free play as an important way to get exercise.
