Important Class Picture Update for Monday, March 15th! Students will be able to temporarily remove their masks for the class picture. They will put them back on after the class picture has been taken.

Our JTE STEAM Night has been rescheduled for March 16th! Please see below for more details.

We will celebrate Read Across America next week with Seuss-themed dress up days and a book character parade! The book character parade will take place on Tuesday afternoon at 1:15. Parents will not be able to attend due to Covid restrictions, but we will post pictures to our social media accounts.

Spring Picture Day is tomorrow (February 24th). The only students who will be photographed are those who pre-order pictures. You can order pictures online at mylifetouch.com. To order online, the picture day ID is EVTMRHS4G. You can also order by returning the envelope sent home with your selection and payment.

Because of the inclement weather last week, this week’s lunch menu has changed. This week, the lunch menu will follow the same schedule as week 3. Next week, the menu will be back to the regular scheduled meals.

This week has been a challenging week on many fronts but there has also been a lot of good! Let’s give a shout out to the over 150 custodial and maintenance staff who worked around the clock to keep our buildings in top shape!They worked on frozen pipes, clearing parking lots and sidewalks, plowed snow and maintained the HVAC units. Let’s give a shout out to the Principals and teachers from each building who worked to connect with each family ensuring safety and educational enrichment during this time. We had some fun this week! We loved seeing all the pictures of how families combined education with snow time fun. Tomorrow, Friday February 19 will be a remote teaching and learning day. Let’s finish this week strong, with positive energy and take the time to say thank you and encouraging words to each other. This is what make our community great! Esta semana ha sido una semana desafiante en muchos frentes, ¡pero también ha sido muy bueno! ¡Demos un saludo a los más de 150 conserjes y personal de mantenimiento que trabajaron las veinticuatro horas del día para mantener nuestros edificios en óptimas condiciones! Trabajaron en tuberías congeladas, despejaron estacionamientos y aceras, quitaron nieve y mantuvieron las unidades de HVAC. Demos un saludo a los directores y maestros de cada edificio que trabajaron para conectarse con cada familia para garantizar la seguridad y el enriquecimiento educativo durante este tiempo. ¡Nos divertimos un poco esta semana! Nos encantó ver todas las imágenes de cómo las familias combinaban la educación con la diversión en la nieve. Mañana viernes 19 de febrero será un día de enseñanza y aprendizaje a distancia. Terminemos esta semana fuertes, con energía positiva y tomémonos el tiempo para agradecer y animarnos mutuamente. ¡Esto es lo que hace que nuestra comunidad sea excelente!

Tomorrow, Thursday February 18, 2021 will be a remote teaching and learning day for the Springdale Public Schools. We hope everyone is enjoying the snow! We love seeing all the creative and fun activities from our families. Stay safe and warm. Mañana jueves 18 de febrero de 2021 será un día de enseñanza y aprendizaje remoto para las Escuelas Públicas de Springdale.  ¡Esperamos que todos estén disfrutando de la nieve!  Nos encanta ver todas las actividades creativas y divertidas de nuestras familias.  Mantente a salvo y abrigado.

Springdale Schools Family, Safety of the children and families, faculty and staff of the Springdale School District is our top priority. We are aware of the struggles of families in our community. For the students who are able, please continue to work independently. We will get through this together as a community.  Tomorrow, Wednesday February 17 will be a snow day with no remote teaching and learning. Please look out for each other!

Don't forget! If you would like to purchase Sour Straws, turn your money in to your teacher tomorrow morning. Sour straws will be delivered to your classroom tomorrow afternoon! A portion of the proceeds will be used to stock the new JTE Food Pantry.

Springdale schools will resume on-site instruction for Friday February 12. Busses will run their normal routes! Please dress warm and we look forward to seeing you. Due to inclement weather, the Springdale Schools will have remote teaching and learning on February 10, 2021. Stay safe and stay warm! There will be no food service and buildings will be closed. All students will have assignments that do not require technology. Please find the grade appropriate choice board below for your child to choose activities for the remote learning day. Your child's teacher will be working from home, and will be available by email or optional Zoom meeting. Optional Zoom Meeting Times: Kindergarten-11:30; First Grade-10:30; Second Grade-1:30; Third Grade-11:00; Fourth Grade-1:00; Fifth Grade-10:00; Specials-2:30; EAST-9:00; GT-9:30.
