Good news for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch prices, Arkansas will be providing additional assistance to you through the Pandemic Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Be sure they have your correct address!

Congratulations to John Tyson Elementary School for receiving a Joint Use Agreement Grant for $30,000, provided by the Arkansas Department of Education School Health Services. The funds will be used to purchase a play structure for the playground area of the school. Tyson Elementary School will install an interactive playground facility designed to promote strength, agility, flexibility, balance and imaginative pay. We appreciate The Tyson Family Foundation and the Springdale Public Schools Education Foundation for partnering with us through our Play Matters Campaign, in order to provide additional funds. The structure will allow students, families, and community members to benefit from a resource that encourages free play as an important way to get exercise.
